:sly: I will as soon as I get the results, that is the reason why you need 2 computers, one to keep working (if that apply's) and the other one to play and ripp.:D
:D I going to start this post repply by saying that you where right, I did encoded one movie with your settings (actually 2 movies) but for some weird reason on my faster Box (XP 1800) the movie I went for was going to take almost 8 hours; but then I encoded a different movie with my second box (Duron 800 MHz) and I was surprise that even on this slow machine it took me 4:10 min to finish the whole movie! So I did asked about quality and this movie was already encoded once with VBR 4 pass, so I did a comparison and I'm a beliver now.:) Like I said before Jason28 thanks for sharing this settings! :D Lets wait ans see the results from Ultimate, but Im already doing this settings for now on. I didin't see any difference on the movie encoded on VBR 4 pass and the one with VBR one pass. The only thing I can't figure out is the deal about my faster box, Why is it taking more time? One last question Jason28: Did you also use this settings for animation??
@ramutan I am not to sure why it would take you that long to encode on that machine. I would try to reinstall D2S and see if that fixes it for you. If that dosent then you can try to format your HD, and reinstall everything and see if that makes a difference. I have used them for Cowboy Bebop and a few other anime. The quality is very good there as well. I would reccomend that you try out a few chapers and see if you like it. The only problem that I had with this setup is that sometimes the .bin and .cue files would come out to be too big. If you do a search you will find the post. I would reccomend reading it as it will save you some time if anything like that ever happens to you.

Well, I went back to figure out what went wrong on my attemp to use my faster Box for encoding with your settings and I didin't found anything in particular. The only thing I will hate to do is to reformat my drive again (already did to solve sync problems)and I just getting good results. :o Update :o While I was writing this posting my Box just finished "Shrek" using your setting and I'm really happy to report that my encode time is only 3:50 minutes.:p Looking at the quality I will agree with you about been a 8 on quality on a scale of 10 to 1. So any way thanks Jason28 for the "heads up" on this settings and most of all on the time it saves. by the way, as a last question: Do you use the default settings for the bit-rate? some how I can see that my first disk got a little bit more of quality.
I think Jason did mention above that he uses the default bitrate settings, but just changes all the cd sizes to 800. That's what I do as well, and it seems to produce good quality, so I'm not about to change it :)
