This is so obvious: I set markers to verses and choruses to jump there right away when I need. It works fine in Main window and all of a sudden, I cannot go to any of them in MIDI Editor. How come??

Action in Midi: pass keystroke to main window. Assign 0-9, M and Shift-M (and others as needed) as key shortcuts.

You're almost there. You assigned M to the action. Add the other keys to the same action 0,1,2,3,..,8,9,0. When you press any of these keys while in the midi editor, it gets passed to the main window, where it can create markers and jump to them.

Wait a minute... how? why? It now works. So now I finally understood how it works: it's not a command to perform, this action is a buffer window, it just transfers any key that is assigned to it to the Main window; it's like a hole in the MIDI Editor =)) But why then do I need the M button? I deleted it and it still works perfectly well.
