Hi everyone! Just started using Reaper last month for radio documentary, I'm a big fan but last week I ran into a problem. After my ext. harddrive disconnected by accident, a bunch of my clips on the timeline went.. blank. Not with the word 'offline' in it, but blank. Even after reconnecting the harddrive and checking the file paths, nothing changed. Has anyone ever had this happen? I've attached a pic of what it looks like. Thank you so much in advance, Jolijn

Does Reaper still play the sounds that are in the items? In that case it could be that you just have to re-build the peak files through Items>Peaks>Rebuild all peaks.

When the portable drive was disconnected, did it reconnect using the same drive letter (D, E, G or whatever)? Sometimes when external drives get disconnected they can have a different letter assigned to them when reconnected, which will cause Reaper to not find the files. I think that Reaper should show the items as offline if this was the case, but it's the best idea I can come up with right now.

I've never experienced this problem myself, and like you said, it doesn't seem like anyone else has reported about the same exact problem here. Not that I can find at least. Hopefully @schwa or someone else who are more technically skilled will have an answer :) Good luck!
