MOTU SYNC Problems

Hello to all, I just bought Pro Tools Mix 24 Plus and am doing well with it except for the fact that i can't seem to slave my sequencer/computer to the newly purchased MOTU midi time piece AV interface... This is the scenario ..... i want to sync protools to the MOTU so that I can send MTC or SMPTE to my external sequencer but for some reason the signal is not being sent from the MOTU i 've tried i many times ( for 2 days now) to make the necessary changes in the settings in OMS and clock works and even in the MOTU sync window.but to no avail... can some one take me thru this setup process..step by step..so i can use my sequences fom my other computer. There is a proper order for installing OMS & FreeMIDI together on the same system. Have you followed it?

I think you have to strip a track of SMPTE to disc and feed that back to read it, or does it generate sync on the fly? I have a midi express, works ok. I find i have to turn it on after all the midi devices but before the CPU.
