I own pro tools 8 software and mainly use it for recording purposes. I am a club/mixtape DJ and I have recorded a mix on pro tools. I have the master mix which is 43 minutes long, but now I want to create a playlist of the individual songs that are part of that overall master mix. I cannot figure out how to separate the individual tracks from the master mix so that when I create the final mixtape the listener can listen to the mix end to end but can also listen to individiual songs, such as track 2, 3 or 4. I hope I am making sense! I have read the pro tools reference guide and could not find the information I was looking for. Anyone with expertise in this area please reply to my question it would be of great assistance. Thanks.

just to be a little more clear in regards to my question, before I bounce the final mix, how do I separate the individual tracks, say song 1 at the 2:13 mark or song 2 at the 3:44 mark, etc. so that when I record the final master mix it can be listened to as one complete mix from beginning to end, or as individual tracks, such as track 1, or skip to track 4 etc.

there are many factors that go into what your trying to accomplish.(create master fader, put a limiter with a -0.3db ceilling, etc...) but just to get you started. go to the edit window click the selector tool (top mid left) click on slip mode (top left) with the mouse, click and highlight the specific timeline that you want. the timeline, is that which runs along the bars/beats. (bar 1-2-3-4-etc...) when bouncing to disk, nothing before or after the selected timeline will bounce, only whats highlighted bounce to disk> aiff> 16bit> 44.1
