Lost output on one of my soundcards on mac - but works in Windows...(help...)

I am having trouble getting an output signal in my UX1. Under 'Audio Devices', the Master volume is greyed out and at zero - can't be moved. My Presonus Firebox is working fine, and the UX1 works on my Windows laptop. I'm baffled and fairly new to mac, so hopefully someone can help out this dummy. Thanks. :) EDIT - Just to clarify, I do have input signal showing on an armed track, and the Master Track shows signal flow going out - just no sound out.

do you have the same issue we have in this topic with two other different soundcards? take a look, we are trying to understand why :D

I have Lion 10.7.3 installed - unless somehow it got updated to MountainLion without me knowing! I'll check when I get back to the mac, but I'm pretty sure that didn't happen... Hope you get it working soon too. Sorry I can't help in that thread - I don't know much about macs... The UX1 was working this morning - and now, no... :( EDIT: definitely 10.7.3

Have you got the latest drivers for the UX1?

Yup. I do have the latest drivers installed. I just checked under Applications/Line 6... If I was to try to reinstall the driver or the software, what would be my next step? Can I just drag the software from Applications into the Trash, and reinstall? Thanks

I'd say download the driver again, and just run the installer. It will overwrite the previous file. It definitely sounds like some form of driver issue if your other audio device is working. Do you have any other Audio software on your Mac? If so, launch it and see if the UX1 works with it. Maybe try in Garageband?

Yeah, it's not strictly a Reaper thing. It happened in Reason too, greyed out outputs in Preferences there too...:( I'll give overwriting a shot later today.

Yeah, if its happening in another application then you know it isn't Reaper specific. Try the driver re-install and see if it works.
